This 3D model of Albus Dumbledore consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that is optimized for 3D printing.

ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Albus Dumbledore is the one who believed in Harry Potter and always supported “the boy who lived” starting from his birth. The Headmaster of Hogwarts was considered “the most powerful wizard of all time” for his wisdom and exceptional abilities. Dumbledore is the only wizard Lord Voldemort had feared and whom the dark lord hated so fiercely. Friend and mentor of Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore guided the boy, helping him to find his inner strength, and taught the young wizard how important love and friendship are and that sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice yourself for the greater good.

Inspired by one of the most loved characters of the world-famous fantasy our contributing 3D artist created this masterful figurine for 3D printing. The appearance of the professor and his facial features are so natural and vivid and can not but impress. The wrinkles on the face of the wizard, the typical look from under the half-moon spectacles, the way of holding the wand, the long beard tied with a chain with miniature bells, the robe decorated with embroidery, massive finger rings - all these details were taken into consideration and implemented by our 3D artist and we are sure that when printing and painting the figurine you will get great pleasure. What makes this figurine even more unique is the ability to implement the figurine in the scene either with The Pensieve of Hogwarts or with the Owl Lectern. We are absolutely sure that Albus Dumbledore 3D printing figurine will take a special place in your collection!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Albus Dumbledore for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 72 hours in total. The figurines' anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the professor to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The figurine’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurine are connected, Dumbledore was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Albus Dumbledore.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The figurine’s scale was calculated from the height of Dumbledore. The 3D printing figurine’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

Contains 21 and 31 parts respectively;
A printed figurine (Pensieve scene) is 318 mm tall, 332 mm wide, 237 mm deep;
A printed figurine (Owl Lectern scene) is 274 mm tall, 264 mm wide, 265 mm deep;
4 upper body variants - in and without the glasses; in and without the tassel hat;
All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA Pensieve & Owl Lectern 1.0 versions features:

Contains 15 and 12 parts respectively;
A printed figurine (Pensieve scene) is 159 mm tall, 166 mm wide, 119 mm deep;
A printed figurine (Owl Lectern scene) is 137 mm tall, 132 mm wide, 133 mm deep;
4 upper body variants - in and without the glasses; in and without the tassel hat;
All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco Pensieve & Owl Lectern 1.0 versions features:

Contains 15 and 12 parts respectively;
A printed figurine (Pensieve scene) is 159 mm tall, 166 mm wide, 119 mm deep;
A printed figurine (Owl Lectern scene) is 137 mm tall, 132 mm wide, 133 mm deep;
4 upper body variants - in and without the glasses; in and without the tassel hat;
Some parts are manually hollowed out to save resin.

SLS 1.0 Pensieve & Owl Lectern versions features:

Contains 5 and 6 parts respectively - a solid Dumbledore figurine on and separately from the stands.

Below you can find printing recommendations for Cura, Simplify3D, Slic3r and PrusaSlicer software.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use, and especially the particular assembly part you are working with. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review, and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.

Note:

You can scale up the model (downscaling for FFF/FDM 3D printers is not recommended!);

All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill.

Cura printing recommendations:

These are averaged settings which were tested in the Cura 5.2.1 slicer. Test models were printed on Anycubic Vyper, Creality Ender 3 Pro with PLA filament.
