ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Buckle up for another breath-taking adventure! Machine huntress Aloy ventures into the Forbidden West to stop the great threat that is looming over the world we came to love. Your journey will be full of unique environmental ecosystems, seemingly unstoppable enemies, poignant storylines, allies new and old, and lots of memories to come back to.
To help you commemorate the brilliant heroine and the dangers you went through together, our contributing 3D artist designed the Aloy Forbidden West 3D print model. The attention to detail is nothing short of inspirational - the author recreated the smallest details of Aloy's equipment, complex new attire, intricate hairstyle, and even offered two dynamic poses for you to 3D print!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Aloy 3D printing design is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 50 hours. The model's anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the heroine to be depicted harmoniously in both dynamic poses.
The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the model was cut along the contour of Aloy's clothes. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, the character’s head, hair, body, limbs, quiver, arrows, bow etc. are provided as separate assembly parts.
All assembly parts of the 1.0 FFF/FDM version come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.
The 3D print model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from the height of Aloy which is 1680 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
