ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

The IG series of droids were designed as fourth-degree droids, possessed combat-focused upgrades including a variety of sensors to detect movements, heat and sound, and were equipped with damage-resistant armor. IG-11 assassin droid was a bounty hunter during the New Republic Era and in one of the missions the mech was sent on a mission to kill Grogu. This operation united IG-11 with the Mandalorian, another bounty hunter who stopped and destroyed the droid. IG-12 was created from the parts of IG-11 and served as a mech for Grogu. The new mech could be only manually operated, his speech skills were reduced to “yes” and “no” responses. IG-12 was used by Grogu on their way with Mandalorian to their homeworld, the Mandalore planet.

A true fan of the Mandalorian space western television series and the Star Wars universe, our inspired 3D artist created this model of IG-12 with Grogu in diorama for 3D printing. The droid has active mechanisms that give you an opportunity to display the model in different postures. There is an alternative version of the DLP/SLA version of IG-12, a static droid that is holding a fruit stolen from the counter by its tiny pilot. The amazing level of detail, iconic design, and cuteness of the scene chosen for the diorama leave you no chance to pass by this lovely couple!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

IG-12 with Grogu in Diorama for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 45 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the droid was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the IG-12 with Grogu in Diorama 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the length of the IG-12 Droid which is 1930 mm. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:4 for the FFF/FDM version, 1:8 for the DLP/SLA Active version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA Static version.
