Kayle model for 3D printing has descended on our marketplace to bring justice. The model is based on the free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena, real-time strategy video game protagonist. Kayle is a hero with strong character, belonging to an immortal race, which for many millennia has been at the service of good, fighting ferociously and destroying evil.

For Kayle the Judicator, bringing justice can often be an ugly thing. She is also a warrior, fighting for her people and struggling to bring peace into a world where war seems to not ever end.

It is known that she is a beautiful creature, but she avoids showing her face. She hides her delicate spirit and features beneath her armor and wields her flaming sword masterfully.

Kayle 3D model showcases superb surface detailing, with an accurate representation of the video game protagonist’s graphic lines. It features astonishing wings and the unmistakable flaming sword that has been forged before time itself. The model is available in static form, mounted on a nicely crafted support, to facilitate its display on the desk or shelf.

The model has been created in MAYA modeling software. The STL files have been produced in Cura 15.06 program. There are 3 STL files for this model, which are optimized to be printed on any type of 3D printers: SLA/SLS and FFF. The files weigh 111Mb and are repaired in Netfabb. They are error-free and ready to be sent to your own home 3D printer.

The modeling of Kayle 3D print took about 20 hours. The most difficult part was to create the wings, as the 3D modeler had to make sure that the model will keep its balance and would not fall on a level surface. The model is 353mm wide, 199mm tall, and 89mm deep. The wing sweep of the model measures 353mm. To make sure that the model will print accurately the modeler separated the wings from the body. Therefore, you will be printing two separate wings and the body of the character.

Generic

This model was tested in Cura 15.06. To avoid printing problems, we recommend the following settings:

Quality

  • Layer height: 0.1mm*
  • Initial layer thickness: 0.3mm
  • Bottom/top pattern: lines
  • Skin perimeter line count: 0
  • Horizontal expansion: 0.04mm (when entering 0.04mm index, the 3D printer perceives the model as monolith, i.e. as having no hidden layers).

*Layer Height 0.1mm is recommended for a better quality for the printed model. However, the printing time will double.

Check this **Simplify3D User Guidelines to avoid any 3D printing problems with this software.
**On 27.12.2016, the 3D model files have been optimized. You can print them without following these Simplify3D guidelines, as the model is solid.

The model has been tested and printed in PLA. In case you need advice where to get your filaments from, check our partner's website.
