ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Mega Man is a heroic robot protagonist of the highly-acclaimed Japanese video game series of the same name. Since his debut in 1987, Capcom's Blue Bomber has become a true legend with dozens of video game instalments, cameos, and (most importantly) an army of loyal fans.
The author of the dynamic diorama depicted the Blue Bomber accompanied by the character's loyal dog Rush. It seems like Mega Man and Rush were just in the middle of their rapid adventure when the 3D artist reached a decision to capture the duo! Determined Blue Metal hero keeps his special Mega Buster arm cannon on high alert while the robo-dog looks overly joyful when battling the enemies alongside the best friend.
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Mega Man & Rush Diorama 3D printing design is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team circa 32 hours. Both models’ anatomy was reviewed during the moderation process for the video game heroes to be depicted harmoniously and proportionate in the intended action scene.
The diorama's cutting was chosen by our team to minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model must be connected, the models were cut along the contour of both characters' armour seams.
All assembly parts come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details' surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.
The diorama is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from Mega Man's height which is 1340 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
