Source Files
This 3D Figurine consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that is optimized for 3D printing.
Before printing the files, we strongly recommend reading the PRINTING DETAILS section.
Mountain Dragon 3D Printing Figurine comes in 5 versions for each 3D printer type (FFF/FDM, DLP/SLA, DLP/SLA Eco and SLS). Files for each version are available for download after the purchase.
Detailed information about this 3D printing figurine is available in the DESCRIPTION section.
Important
Before printing, take a look at Printing Details for recommended settings and tips to achieve better results.
--Select printer type--
FFF/FDM
Selected
The model is optimized for 3D printing on FFF/FDM printers using filament as the amount of support structures during printing and to ensure that each part fits on an average-sized print bed.
DLP/SLA
Selected
The model is optimized for 3D printing on DLP/SLA printers using resin as the material. Usually, it is at a smaller scale and consists of fewer parts to save resin and maintain fine details. Some models may also come in an ECO version - with hollowed-out parts to further reduce resin consumption.
SLS
Selected
The model is optimized for 3D printing on SLS printers using powder as the material. Typically, it is at a similar scale to the DLP/SLA version but printed as a single, solid piece to produce a complete figure without assembly.

Description
ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Dragons are majestic creatures that, in one form or another, have appeared in the folklore and mythology of many cultures around the world. The awe-inspiring beasts have always fascinated those who tried to understand them and instilled terror into those who tried to enslave oppress the creatures. Depending on the genre of movie/book/video game dragons can range from dangerous and terrifying to adorable and peaceful. The Mountain Dragon figurine for 3D printing is a part of its author Heroic fantasy creatures collection that features incredible beasts to everyone’s taste. So the model can be printed and painted to one's heart's content: you can get it to enlarge your 3D printed treasures collection, couple your Mountain Dragon with characters from any other fiction universes to create a diorama or use it as a perfect piece for your tabletop games.
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING (FFF/FDM 2.0, DLP/SLA 1.0, DLP/SLA Eco 1.0, SLS 1.0)
Mountain Dragon figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its updating and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 35 hours in total. This figurine was first released on Gambody in 2017 as a solid one-piece model and later was divided only into 6 pieces. So for all the willing 3D printing enthusiasts to print the cleanest dragon possible the model was cut into as many assembly parts as needed to fit even the smallest 3D printers' build plates and adapted for different types of 3D printers. The cutting of the Mountain Dragon figurine was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin. The dragon’s jaws were extracted and separated for you to print them preserving all the teeth's finest details and later insert into the mouth. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. All the parts have special connecting elements for you to assemble the figurine in the easiest way possible and there are locks provided to connect the details if you don’t want to glue the parts.
The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from the dragon's length that is 10600 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/25 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/50 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

Disclaimer: The following printing settings are a recommendation, not an obligation. The parameters can vary depending on the peculiarities of your 3D printer, the material you use and especially the particular assembly part at hand. Each part that any model comprises often needs preliminary review and you are free to tweak the settings the way you find suitable.
Note: - You can scale up the model (downscaling is not recommended!); - All connectors should be printed at 100% Infill; - For all parts of locks (“ge_lock” in “Source files”) you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesionsection.

You can increase the printing Speed by 20% when you print simple objects. For small/thin parts you need to decrease the Speed by 25% - 50%.

All 3D models on Gambody are sold as downloadable STL or OBJ files. These are digital assets created by 3D artists who are often inspired by characters, vehicles, and elements from popular franchises and universes. While these designs may resemble well-known works, they are original fan-made creations and not official merchandise. When purchasing a model, you are not buying the full ownership of the file or any associated intellectual property. Instead, you are receiving a license to use the digital files under specific terms, as defined by the model's creator. This is commonly referred to as a Digital File License (e.g., Standard, Extended, Creator), which outlines what you can and cannot do with both the files themselves and the 3D-printed objects made from them. Always check the license type to ensure it matches your intended use.
Standard Digital File License (SDFL) for hobby 3D printing and personal use only - no resale, file sharing, or commercial distribution of the files or printed models.
Files for each 3D model are prepared specifically for a certain 3D printing technology to ensure the best results. Selecting the correct printer type ensures you get files optimized for your machine - minimizing the risk of slicing issues, failed prints, or unnecessary supports. Each printer type (FFF/FDM, DLP/SLA, or SLS) uses different materials and has different printing capabilities, so it's important to choose the one that matches your actual 3D printer.

FFF/FDM
Selected
The model is optimized for 3D printing on FFF/FDM printers using filament as the amount
of support structures during printing and to ensure that each part fits on an average-sized print bed.
{ isOpen = false; selectPrinter(printer); }">
DLP/SLA
Selected
The model is optimized for 3D printing on DLP/SLA printers using resin as the material.
Usually, it is at a smaller scale and consists of fewer parts to save resin and maintain fine details.
Some models may also come in an ECO version - with hollowed-out parts to further reduce resin
consumption.
{ isOpen = false; selectPrinter(printer); }">
SLS
Selected
The model is optimized for 3D printing on SLS printers using powder as the material.
Typically, it is at a similar scale to the DLP/SLA version but printed as a single, solid piece to
produce a complete figure without assembly.
3D printing files for each model are organized into "model versions". These versions may vary by design quality (e.g., improved detailing), pose, outfit, or additional features. Some models may also offer special variations - such as ECO versions with hollowed parts for resin-saving prints. Before purchasing or downloading, choose the one that best fits your intended use - whether you re looking for the latest improved release or a specific variant tailored to your needs.
