ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

While exploring space for new habitable planets, the organization called Life Foundation encountered four alien Symbiotes. Three of them are captured for research but one manages to escape. Carlton Drake, the head of the Life Foundation becomes obsessed with the possibility of bonding with the creatures, so once approached by the escaped symbiotic lifeform, he becomes its host producing a new creature named Riot. This Symbiote has all the abilities of the original Venom, but they share the same weakness, too. Carlton is aggressive and merciless - these qualities became the key element in the anger shown by Riot. And in the 2018 movie Venom, Riot and Venom have to meet face to face.

The 3D printing Venom vs Riot diorama depicts the dynamic battle scene that will most likely put an end to one of the opponents. Riot for 3D printing seems to have shapeshifted his hands into blades which make the alien parasite look even more lethal! The Riot 3D model comes with its own platform as well, so you may choose to show off either the creature within the diorama or on its own!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING (FFF/FDM 2.0, DLP/SLA 2.0, DLP/SLA Eco 1.0, SLS 2.0)

Riot Symbiote 3D printing design is a static assembly model and its updating and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 40 hours in total. The model needed to be reviewed in terms of anatomy and body proportions to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose so the decision was reached to update the model as a whole, to cut it into assembly parts anew and to adapt the model for different types of 3D printers taking into account the present-day technology advancements.

Thus, the model was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process, the textures all over Riot’s face and body were enhanced, as well as the details of the model's platform. The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you in the model’s Eco version to save resin. In order to ensure the smooth 3D printed result, the Riot model was divided into multiple parts, i.e. model's forearms, blade-hands, head and legs are provided as separate parts. For the same purpose, the Riot’s tongue and upper jaw were extracted from the mouth.

All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for 2.0 FFF/FDM.0 and 2.0 DLP/SLA versions in PDF format.

The 3D print model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Venom's actual height which is 1920 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
