ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE
Tekkaman is the titular character of the 1975 Japanese anime series, a super-human cyborg transformed into a weapon against the unexpected Waldaster alien threat. In order to thwart Waldaster's fleets, the scientific genius Dr Amachi reveals the Pegas, a formidable semi-sentient robot that is equipped with a highly advanced transformation chamber. The human being who is subjected to the transformation into a Tekkaman becomes a super cyborg, covered in an invulnerable armour and equipped with deadly weapons such as the Tek Lance, the Tek Whip, and the Voltekker that are capable of cutting and melting metals like butter. The author of the Tekkaman figurine for 3D printing mentioned being inspired by Tatsuo Yoshida’s design of the powerful cyborg and decided to prepare the Space Knight model for 3D printing rejoicing all anime fans within the community. The 3D artist carefully outlined the signature features of the Tekkaman armour design, making sure that the super-human sculpt is strong and brawny. Thus, the protagonist of the anime series for 3D printing is depicted holding a long “Tek Lance” that comprises two sharp triangular blades connected by a handle in the middle. The 3D printing figurine is proudly showcasing its large shoulder pads with sharp accents that clearly wait impatiently for being printed red. Tekkaman’s signature head crest and the star protruding from the centre of the cyborg’s belt are depicted in the design of the 3D printing figurine without fail as well. The 3D artist also paid close attention to such fine details like the armour’s weapon holsters and blade-like spurs guaranteeing an exciting 3D printing project that is interesting to print, assemble and paint. With the abundance of sharp elements like thorns on the armours shins, forearms, helmet or shoulders and with the Tek Lance on high alert, Tekkaman figurine for 3D printing looks perfectly ready to impale all alien foes on his way!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Tekkaman figurine for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 42 hours in total. The figurine’s anatomy was thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the mighty knight to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose in his complex suit of armour. The figurine’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the model’s Eco version. In order to conceal the places where assembly parts of the model must be connected, Tekkaman model was cut along the contour of its armour seams. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, Tekkaman’s spiky helm, shoulder pads, forearm armour, hands, weapon holsters, boots, blade-like spurs, Tek Lance etc. are provided as separate assembly pieces. All assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.
The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from Tekkaman's actual height that is 1850 mm. The 3D printing figurine's chosen scale is 1/8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

The test models were printed on Ultimaker 2, Creality Ender 3, Creality CR-10S Pro V2, Anycubic I3 Mega, Anycubic I3 MegaS 3D printers with PLA and PETG filaments.
