ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Witch-king of Angmar was the leader of Nazgûl, also known as Black Riders, Ringwraiths, The Fallen Kings or simply the Nine. Once the evil lord Sauron together with Eregion Elves forged Rings of Power that were under the complete authority of the One Ring. He gave nine of the rings to Men who were instantly enslaved by their power, stripped of their human names and who later became wraith servants of Sauron’s will. Witch-king was the most powerful of the Nazgûl. He ruled in his own established realm Angmar for over thousands of years and served as Sauron’s second in command. With the immense sorcery powers and the poisonous Black Breath given by the Ring, Witch-king inspired with great terror and sheer despair all the living creatures. During the Battle of Fornost his forces were utterly destroyed, the Angmar leader was exiled and the kingdom soon collapsed. As time went by, Witch-king, as well as the other eight Nazgûl, became even more corrupted in their thraldom to the One Ring. According to the Glorfindel’s prophecy, Witch-king would fall but not by “the hand of man”. And during the battle in Minas Tirith he was indeed defeated by a hobbit and a woman. Hobbit Merry stabbed the Witch King in the leg with the Barrow-blade and Éowyn thrust her sword into his crown, thus killing the lord of the Nazgûl who vanished with a wailing cry.

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

The 3D printer model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Lord of the Nazgul's height which is 2130 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
