HISTORY OF CYCLOPS

Cyclops (a.k.a. Scott Summers) is a mutant superhero and part of the X-Men team. His younger brother named Alex is also a mutant, and their parents died in a plane crash when they were kids. Once, while still in the custody of his adoptive parents, Scott’s abilities first showed themselves. After this, Charles Xavier offered the brothers to become his disciples. Scott agreed without hesitation, but Alex rejected this offer. In Professor Xavier’s team he met Jean Gray, who he immediately fell in love with. His ability to release energy rays from his eyes always frightened him, because he feared he could hurt people. There was a time when he doubted the correctness of Professor X’s judgments, which was the result of his hearing the speech of Magneto who had saved his life and seeing a kiss shared by Jean Gray and Wolverine. Cyclops then joined Magneto’s team, but when the latter tried to destroy the mutants using a robot army, this alliance was broken. Scott Summers never got along with Wolverine and even drove him out of the X-Men team, but subsequently brought him back and offered his help. Along with other mutants, he fights for the well-being of people with superpowers in the world. He also protects the school for mutants, so young mutants could have a chance to use their powers for a good cause.
