ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Comic book characters seem to never get out of fashion even 80 years after their first appearance on the colourful, action-packed pages. Among the long-lasting heroes, a popular spot is saved for the renowned King of the Seven Seas or Aquaman from DC comics. The legend with a very special connection to the sea creatures and a number of extraordinary abilities wants you to be a part of his world now, too!
In the elaborate diorama, Aquaman is dressed in the classic green and gold Atlantean suit with scales-like plating and carries the Trident of Neptune as a symbol of his power. By the author's idea, you can choose between long luscious hair and a handsome short cut that the King of Atlantis would wear. The hero is accompanied by a sea creature, the Shark covered in protective armour in case they encounter a dangerous enemy. The diorama is upheld by the marine world itself—the burst of salty water and a beautiful coral reef that complement the scene.
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Aquaman & Shark Diorama 3D printing design is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 42 hours. Both models' anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the characters to look harmonically and in proportion in a diorama.
The model's cutting was chosen by our team to ensure the cleanest 3D printed result possible and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the models are connected, the models were cut along the contour of their bodies. Aquaman's hair strands, hands, feet, Trident of Neptune, the Shark's fins, etc. are provided as separate assembly parts.
All assembly parts of the FFF/FDM versions come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.
The 3D printing design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from the approximate height of Aquaman which is 1930 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
