ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Captain Rex was raised on Kamino like his fellow clone troopers, but later, after passing special command training was promoted to a Clone Captain and became one of the best soldiers in the Galaxy. Rex is a reliable, exemplary soldier dedicated to his subordinates; the captain is valued by the Jedi General Anakin Skywalker as his “first-in-command”. In addition to being a confidant of Skywalker, CT-7567 also became friends with Skywalker's apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. During his career, Rex proved to be an effective leader and devoted and skilled combatant.

The prominent Star Wars character inspired our masterful 3D artist for the creation of this outstanding figurine. Rex is depicted in a fighting pose holding twin DC-17 blaster pistols one of which aims at the enemy. Inner strength and steadfastness are read in his movement. The armor of the commander is particularly interesting to explore: it is a unique set of clone trooper armor composed of phase II and phase I elements welded on. The helmet of CT-7567 is a hybrid of his original helmet and the regular clone trooper helmet. The pauldrons on the shoulders of the captain offer additional protection and signify his rank; the holsters attached to the belt over the kama are perfect for storing the weapons ensuring a quick response. The texture of the parts allows you to paint the figurine repeating the blue markings that are the distinctive element of the armor of Rex. The figurine of Clone Captain is what will raise your collection to a new level!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Captain Rex for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 60 hours in total. The figurines' anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the commander to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The figurine’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurine are connected, the soldier was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Captain Rex.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The figurine’s scale was calculated from the height of Captain Rex. The 3D printing figurine’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
