ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Darth Sidious is considered to be the most powerful and famous Lord of the Sith of the Galactic Empire whose power and keen intellect helped him establish his reign over the galaxy. The sadistic nature of Emperor Palpatine let him turn the Republic into the Empire by destroying the Jedi Order.

Powers of Darth Sidious inspired Gambody contributing 3D artist to create the breathtaking 3D model for printing which depicts the character in two postures: the Force lightning served as an inspiration for the first posture which shows the lord in all its vicious power and this scene is truly captivating. The second posture with a lightsaber is interesting as it allows you to explore the Zeyd cloth of the chancellor, painting it will be a pure pleasure. Don't wait to 3D print this masterful movie design, you will be impressed!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Darth Sidious for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 74 hours in total. The 3D print's anatomy, proportions, and flow of the cloth were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the character to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The cutting of the 3D printing design was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the 3D printable model are connected, Palpatine was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the 1.0 FFF/FDM version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for 1.0 FFF/FDM and 1.0 DLP/SLA versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Sith Lord Palpatine.

The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The scale of the 3D print model was calculated from the height of Palpatine. The 3D printer design’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
