Printing Details

This 3D model consists of files in StereoLithography (.Stl) format that have been optimized for 3D printing.

Before printing the files, we strongly recommend reading the PRINTING DETAILS section.

Version 1 and Version 2 are the files for Shadow Fiend 3D Model optimized for 3D printing, the preview pictures of which you see above.

It is recommended:

  • to print Version 1 - low resolution STL files;
  • to print Version 2 - high resolution STL files.

Shadow Fiend 3D model is inspired by the creepy and dark hero from a legendary MMOG. The video game character definitely crawls under your skin with his ability to scare and silence all other players’ talents. His vision is low during the day as well as his agility and movements; however, at night he emerges with his talents and abilities, strengthened tenfold.

This model is adapted for 3D printing and tested to make sure that you won’t have any problems printing it on your devices. The STL files are checked and corrected in Netfabb and tested in CURA 2.3.1 slicing program. You can see pictures of the actual 3D printed and painted video game model in the photo slider. 

The 3D model is split into 7 parts. This was done for less support use during 3D printing. It is recommended to print Shadow Fiend 3D model at 0.1 mm layer height for an accurate result. 

Shadow Fiend 3D model stands 346 mm wide, 278 mm tall and 198 mm deep. It is provided with a support base. It is a perfect gift for your video game fan friend or as a piece in your 3D printing collection.

On 24.01.2018 the model files have been optimized. We have added high resolution STL files for Shadow Fiend 3D printing model. They now are already available for purchase and download in Version 2.

 

Description of the Shadow Fiend model from Version 2:

- Contains 10 parts for FDM printing;
- Contains +1 separate part of the solid model as one piece for SLS/SLA printing;
- Made with locks and connectors. One part of Lock (10_Ge_lock_7S (x8)) you need to print 8 times. One part of Connector (9_GE_Connector_A_B (x2)) you need to print twice;

- All parts are divided in such way that you will print them with the smallest amount of supports. A separate part of the one-piece model was created to keep SLS/SLA printing costs down.

All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

Note: Before starting 3D printing the model, read the Printing Details for CURA 3.1.0. Software.

Dimensions after printing STL files on FDM 3D printers:

After being printed will stand - 433 mm tall, 430 mm wide, 453 mm deep.

1. For all parts of Locks you need to change "Brim" type to "Skirt" in Build Plate Adhesion section.

2. All parts of connectors should be printed at 100% infill.
