ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

The Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor used by the Jedi during the Clone Wars is characterized by impressive firepower superior to the capabilities of its predecessor Delta-7. The crew of Actis included a pilot and an astromech droid responsible for navigation and repair assistance, and its armament consisted of different modifications of cannons, launchers, and missiles. This maneuverable vessel was used by Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi during the crucial Battle of Coruscant and this is the Battle of Coruscant where agile Eta-2 demonstrated their great potential and high efficiency.

Eta-2 Actis Interceptor is a result of the mastery of Gambody contributing 3D artist who fully dedicated themself to the work on the project. The author managed to recreate the unique design of the fighter and implemented several features that allow every 3D printing fan to show their creativity and make their project special and inimitable. Experiment with scale, painting, printing materials, and lighting — these STLs are made to give you the freedom of self-expression!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Eta-2 Actis Interceptor model for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 55 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the fighter was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the Eta-2 Actis Interceptor 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the length of the Actis which is 5500 mm. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:16 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:34 for the DLP/SLA version.
