ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Purchased as a Christmas present at Mr Wing's Shop, a kind and loveable Mogwai called Gizmo served on the front line of the struggle with the evil Gremlins. Back in the 80s, every kid’s dream was owning a cute little Gizmo and we totally understand why - kindhearted, resourceful and nimble, the adorable Mogwai would totally make a perfect partner in crime!
Gambody team is delighted to welcome Gizmo in our collection, as it arrives not alone but in several fantastic variants! Our contributing 3D artist went all out to depict the well-liked Mogwai 3D print model in as many scenarios as possible. Thus, Gizmo can be displayed on its own, it can be placed inside a nicely detailed Oriental Box from Mr Wing's Shop, or the cute little creature can sport a Christmas hat. In addition to that, there is a Rambo variant of Gizmo who is wearing a headband, wielding a bow out of a large paper clip and rubber band! Finally, there is a special variation of the Mogwai model designed to fit Gizmo’s Barbie Car. This item is a real treasure!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Gizmo 3D printing designs are static assembly models and the moderation and adaptation of the models for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 62 hours in total. The anatomy and body proportions of the creature were reviewed during the moderation for the adorable Mogwai to be depicted harmoniously in the intended poses.
The models' cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to ensure an excellent quality of the 3D printed result, the Gizmo models were divided into many parts, i.e. models' heads, ears, Christmas hat, headband, bow and arrow, oriental box, etc. are provided as separate parts.
All the assembly parts of the 1.0 FFF/FDM versions of the models come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details' surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any models' file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for 1.0 FFF/FDM and 1.0 DLP/SLA versions in PDF format.
The 3D printing design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from Gizmo's approximate height which is 300 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale is 1:2 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:4 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
