ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

Every year with the arrival of the holiday season many households around the world gather at the TV screen to watch their beloved Christmas films. Holiday movies and cartoons easily set the festive mood and help even the older of spectators believe in Christmas miracles. How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel is one of such stories that has long become an instant holiday classic. A story that emphasises that holidays are about much more than just the gifts.

Fed up with noisy Christmas festivities, a cave-dwelling meanie Grinch devises a wicked plan to steal all gifts and decorations from the homes of Whoville. Having dressed up as a Santa Claus, grouchy Grinch slid off the Mount Crumpit (a mountain as chilly as his shrunken heart) and got down to the grand Christmas theft. Our contributing 3D artist caught Grinch red-handed! The disguised trouble-maker accompanied by his loyal dog (“reindeer”) Max are carrying the bag full of stolen presents. Bring festive mood to your collection by 3D printing one of the most famous holiday characters of all time!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Grinch & Max diorama for 3D printing are static assembly models and their moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 32 hours. The figurines' cartoonish anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process to make sure that the figurines depict your favourite heroes in an authentic way.

The figurines' cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurines must be connected, the figurine of Grinch was cut along the contour of his Santa suit, and the figurine of Max was cut along the body contour. For you to achieve the cleanest 3D printed result, the Grinch's head, body, limbs, hat, Christmas bulb, Max's head, antler, limbs, the boxes from the gift sack, platform pieces, etc. are provided as separate assembly parts.

All assembly parts come in STL files of FFF/FDM version in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any figurine's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format.

The figurines are saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from Grinch's approximate height which is 1350 mm. The 3D printing model's chosen scale is 1:4 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:8 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
