ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
The Knight Rider saga captivated audiences with its blend of action, technology, and the iconic partnership between Michael Knight and his artificially intelligent car, KITT. While the original series showcased KITT's impressive capabilities, the Super Pursuit mode elevated the futuristic supercar to new heights. Introduced later in the series, this enhanced mode provided KITT with increased speed, deployable air foils for emergency braking, and a more aggressive, aerodynamic appearance, making it an unforgettable upgrade for this beloved sci-fi vehicle. Fans of the show remembered the thrill of seeing KITT transform into this high-performance machine, ready to take on any challenge.
Now, you can recreate this iconic transformation with the KITT Kit: Super Pursuit Mode 3D print model. This upgrade kit features 34 unique body parts, including distinct bumpers and a signature spoiler, all designed to enhance your existing KITT 3D print, allowing you to showcase the vehicle in its high-speed configuration. Our talented contributor has meticulously crafted each component, ensuring a seamless fit and incredible detail. The kit includes fixed air intakes, capturing the aggressive look of the Super Pursuit mode, and even incorporates the distinctive emergency braking system with its deployable air foils. Experience the thrill of Knight Rider and transform your KITT into the ultimate Super Pursuit machine!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
KITT Kit: Super Pursuit Mode 3D printing design is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 87 hours in total.
For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the model was divided into convenient assembly parts.
All assembly parts in the 1.0 FFF/FDM version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for 1.0 FFF/FDM and 1.0 DLP/SLA versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the Super Pursuit Mode kit.
The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The 3D model’s scale was calculated from the length of the KITT car. The 3D printer design’s chosen scales are 1:16 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:32 for the DLP/SLA version.
