ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

J.R.R. Tolkien's legacy nests at the very heart of every fantasy lover. The inhabitants of Middle-earth are widely celebrated, and even the villains get their fair share of love and attention! Lurtz, the cunning chief of merciless Uruk-hai specifically bred by the wizard Saruman the White for the Dark Lord's army, is also among them thanks to his taunting part in The Fellowship of the Ring film. So why not add him to your spectacular LOTR diorama to fight on the side of evil?

The Lurtz 3D printer model is filled with the warrior spirit and dangerous sharp edges. The Uruk with stunning likeness is dressed in layers of tattered leather and plates of armour that almost look like a part of his torso. His weapons of choice are a hooked scimitar and a bladed shield that once almost cost Aragorn his life. Many interesting details are hidden in the model's design, so make sure you print it to unravel more!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Lurtz 3D printing design is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 40 hours. The model's anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the Uruk-hai warrior to be depicted with utmost realism.

The model’s cutting was chosen by our team to ensure the cleanest 3D printed result possible and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model are connected, the model was cut along the contour of Lurtz's body. The character’s torso, hands, feet, horn, sword, shield, etc. are provided as separate assembly parts.

All assembly parts of the FFF/FDM versions come in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and so that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.

The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model's scale was calculated from the approximate height of Lurtz which is 1930 mm. The 3D printing design's chosen scale is 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
