ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
Dune, written by Frank Herbert, is considered to be one of the world's most popular science fiction novels of all time. Numerous books, films, and TV series were inspired by Dune, the novel that explores themes of religion, politics, and ecology. Paul Atreides, portrayed by Timothée Chalamet in the 2021 film of Denis Villeneuve, is the central character in the adaptation. Paul is the last Duke of House Atreides whose destiny is predetermined due to his descent. Upon finding his ability of prescience, the Mahdi becomes the leader of the indigenous people called Fremen and leads the war against melange mining by the hostile Harkonnens and the Sardaukar military force.
After weeks of diligent and tedious work, our skilled 3D artist presented their design of Paul Atreides adapted for 3D printing. The hero is depicted in his famous stillsuit that served for the preservation of the body's moisture. The stillsuit fully covers the body of the character up to the neck and wrists. The facial mask, the nose tube, and the cloak are part of the stillsuit and can be combined in different variations. As for the appearance of Paul, the similarity to the hero is unbelievable - you can easily recognize the duke by the facial details such as triangle face shape, curly hair, and facial proportions. The hero is holding a famous crysknife and the posture of the Mahdi demonstrates his intention to fight. Paul Atreides 3D print model is made to make your collection sparkle with new colors!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Paul Atreides 3D printing design is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 73 hours in total. The model's anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the warrior to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.
The model's cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the model are connected, the hero was divided into convenient assembly parts.
All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Paul Atreides.
The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model's scale was calculated from the height of the Duke. The 3D printing design's chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
