ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
The events of Prometheus (2012) are extremely tense and the movie impresses due to several aspects such as professional acting, breathtaking space scenery, monstrosity of antagonists Engineers, and design of the crew crafts. RT01 personnel carrier was used by the earthlings crew directed by Meredith Vickers for the transportation from and back to the USCSS Prometheus during their landing on LV-223 moon. This sci-fi vehicle is protected with heavy armor, generates record thrust, and has no limits for cargo and passenger capacity.
RT01 Transport 3D printing design from Gambody contributing 3D artist is a work that possesses incredible build and detail and, in addition, has a decent articulation. Every Prometheus movie fan will appreciate the look of this eight-wheeled all-terrain vehicle which is inspired by the scenes our contributor repeatedly watched to recreate the transport's design peculiarities. Recognisable hull shape, massive wheels with heavy hubcaps, spacious cockpit, and passenger interior with elaborate design, powerful lighting equipment: RT01 Transport is an embodiment of a perfect space mission rover. 3D print RT01 and survive the harshest moon surfaces with the iconic exploration vehicle!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
RT01 Transport 3D printing design is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 93 hours in total.
For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the all-terrain vehicle was divided into convenient assembly parts.
All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the RT01 Transport 3D model.
The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The 3D model’s scale was calculated from the length of RT01 Transport. The 3D printer design’s chosen scales are 1:30 for the FFF/FDM version, 1:200 for the FFF/FDM Add-On version, and 1:60 for the DLP/SLA version.
