ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Back in 2009, Avatar took our breath away with its fascinating universe. Having immersed into this world through the eyes of Jake Sully, the future Toruk Makto, we witnessed Pandora's wonders of nature and the horrific vehicles humanity used to ravage it and carry out military operations. Among them, the Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson became an object of interest for many collectors and hobbyists!

Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson 3D Printing Model revives the concept that looks both advanced and impressively modern. The rich design expands into the highly detailed interior of the cockpit and the cargo compartment. Don't forget useful weaponry! The side-mounted quad missile launchers and machine guns will always come in handy. All of it is enhanced by articulate elements introduced by Gambody Team. 3D print and experience the future!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 56 hours in total. The construction and proportions of the craft were throughly reviewed for it to look as authentic as possible, print out with a high level of detail, and preserve the articulated elements.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible and minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, the Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to the Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the length of the Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson which is 15900 mm. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:32 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:64 for the DLP/SLA version.
