ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Galactic Empire soldiers, stormtroopers, who are distinguished by their special armor, were involved in different missions such as responding to civil uprisings and performing as a planetary garrison and police forces. A desert trooper is a soldier of the Stormtrooper Corps trained to serve in desert worlds, such as Tatooine planet. In addition to regular armor, the equipment of the sandtrooper features special cooling units, anti-reflective lenses, extra food, and water supplies.

Star Wars sand trooper for 3D printing from Gambody contributor is a work that impresses at first sight. It is very interesting to explore the accessories of the soldier: the blaster rifle the sandtrooper holds in his left hand, in addition to its spectacular scale and level of detail, is an element that plays an important role in the chosen posture of the 3D model as it transmits the confidence of the owner. The orange color of the pauldron of the combatant indicates his belonging to the unit leaders. The design of the armor, helmet, and survival backpack is so close to the original movie character look that you will be amazed by the opportunities these 3D print files give. Are you ready to start a new 3D printing adventure?

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Sandtrooper for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 59 hours in total. The 3D print's anatomy, proportions, and flow of the cloth were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the desert trooper to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The cutting of the 3D printing design was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the 3D printable model are connected, Sandtrooper was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 versions are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Sandtrooper 3D printer files.

The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The scale of the 3D print model was calculated from the height of the Star Wars sand trooper. The 3D printer design’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
