ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

A true icon of the MechWarrior universe, the Shadow Hawk stands as a testament to Golden Century engineering and battlefield versatility. Conceived in 2550 as a multi-role battlemech, this robot excels at balancing speed with potent firepower. Its ingenious design blends agility with a formidable arsenal of both short- and long-range weaponry, quickly making the Shadow Hawk the quintessential military sci-fi mech and a cornerstone of many MechWarrior forces. Though early iterations faced setbacks due to armor vulnerabilities, the definitive 2550 revision solidified its place in history, making it a workhorse for the Star League and Great Houses alike. Production continued for decades, establishing the Shadow Hawk's legendary status until the ravages of war led to the fall of its primary manufacturing centers.

Command your own piece of MechWarrior history with this incredibly detailed Shadow Hawk 3D print model! Brought to life by a skilled Gambody contributing artist, this model perfectly captures the iconic silhouette of the MWO Shadow Hawk. Featuring fully articulated joints and a rotating torso for dynamic posing, this model is designed for both display and interaction. Enhance its presence further with integrated tunnels for LED, allowing you to illuminate the mech's head and rear engines for a truly captivating showcase. Add this exceptional 3D printed battlemech to your collection and celebrate the MWO legacy!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

MWO Shadow Hawk 3D printing design is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 91 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the mech was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the 2.0 FFF/FDM version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for 2.0 FFF/FDM and 2.0 DLP/SLA versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the MWO Shadow Hawk.

The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The 3D model’s scale was calculated from the Shadow Hawk's height, which is 15500 mm. The 3D printer design’s chosen scales are 1:60 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:100 for the DLP/SLA version.
