ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
The exploration of space has always been of considerable interest to all humanity - this concept and theory have greatly influenced the film industry long before the start of space traveling, and the Moon missions have further contributed to the development of the sci-fi genre in media. The SpaceX Starship was developed with the aim of deep-space exploration, heavy-lift launches, and space tourism, and, while no successful flights have been demonstrated yet, the development of the rocket is going on, increasing the chances of an effective flight.
The design of the two-stage super heavy-lift launch vehicle owned by Elon Musk corporation inspired our contributing 3D artist to create this impressive diorama consisting of the figurine of Musk and Starship with Mechazilla tower. The chosen posture for the figurine of the SpaceX CEO is very organic, the creator didn’t forget to include the famous “Occupy Mars” logo on Elon’s T-shirt. The Starship with Mechazilla deserves special attention due to their functionality and scale: after printing the height of the launching unit will exceed one meter and the mechanisms of Mechazilla will surely surprise you! ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
The SpaceX Starship & Elon Musk Diorama for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 98 hours in total.
For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the starship and the figurine were divided into convenient assembly parts.
All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 versions are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any file of the diorama you will also receive “Assembly Manuals” for FFF/FDM 1.0 versions of SpaceX Starship 3D printing model and Elon Musk 3D printing figurine and for DLP/SLA 1.0 versions of Elon Musk 3D printing figurine in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the SpaceX Starship & Elon Musk Diorama for 3D printing.
The diorama is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The model’s scale was calculated from the height of the craft and Elon Musk. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:140 for the FFF/FDM version of SpaceX Starship, 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version of Elon Musk and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA version of Elon Musk.
