ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

Spider-Punk, also known as Hobie Brown, is a compelling character from the Marvel Comics universe, representing an adolescent, punk-rock twist on the classic Spider-Man. Originating from Earth-138, Hobie was transformed by a spider affected by toxic waste due to President Osborn's environmental neglect. He adopts a rebellious persona, donning a spiked mask and wielding a guitar that emits disruptive sound waves, using these unconventional weapons to fight against and eventually overthrow Norman Osborn, freeing the oppressed people of New York.

Hobie Brown's Spider-Punk persona is not just a superhero but a symbol of resistance, highlighted by his unique style featuring a spiked mohawk, denim vest adorned with patches and pins, and his powerful guitar. His profound admiration for Gwen Stacy, not only as a superhero but also for her significant musical contributions, labels her as "the greatest artist" of their time, adding depth to his character by intertwining superhero dynamics with cultural expressions.

This Spider-Verse version of Spider-Man has inspired the creation of a striking 3D figurine, ideal for enthusiasts of Marvel memorabilia and 3D printing fans. The figurine captures Spider-Punk in a dynamic live performance pose, positioned mid-jump with the word "BOOM" as a stand, emphasizing the energy and impact of his punk-rock persona.

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Spider-Punk Spider-Verse for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 67 hours in total. The figurines' anatomy and proportions were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the superhero to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.

The figurine’s cutting was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the figurine are connected, Spider-Punk was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for FFF/FDM 1.0 and DLP/SLA 1.0 versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Spider-Punk Spider-Verse.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The figurine’s scale was calculated from the height of Spider-Punk which is 1800 mm. The 3D printing figurine’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

VERSIONS’ SPECIFICATIONS

FFF/FDM 1.0 versions features:

• Contains 40 parts;
• A printed figurine is 304 mm tall, 204 mm wide, 259 mm deep;
• All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA 1.0 versions features:

• Contains 24 parts;
• A printed figurine is 152 mm tall, 102 mm wide, 130 mm deep;
• All parts are divided in such a way to fit the build plates and to ensure that support structures are generated where needed.

DLP/SLA Eco 1.0 versions features:

• Contains 24 parts;
• A printed figurine is 152 mm tall, 102 mm wide, 130 mm deep;
• Some parts are manually hollowed out to save resin.

SLS 1.0 versions features:

• Contains 4 parts - a solid Spider-Punk figurine on and separately from the stylised platform.
