ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL

It's the wrath of God, chief, contained in metal and directed by man. We start thinking of it as pretty or decorative, we risk forgetting its purpose is just downright ugly.

Blizzard Entertainment video game developer and publisher is considered to be one of the most successful and well-respected makers in the whole world creating such multi-million selling franchises as World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and Overwatch. The highly popular RTS StarCraft allows the player to command extraterrestrial races (Protoss, Terran, and Zerg) in the fights against opponents for strategic control of resources, terrain, and power. Viking fighter is a strong and versatile Terran unit with both anti-ground and anti-air fighting abilities capable of supporting a Terran army from the ground or in the air.

3D printing the Viking created by our contributing 3D artist is a mission that we believe you will enjoy completing! In addition to a masterful build with a great level of detail and impressive armament (Viking is equipped with anti-air missiles and gatling cannons), the model features numerous active connections that enable decent motion. Moreover, the files for resin printers are available in two versions, active and static. Don't wait another minute to start printing your new StarCraft project!

ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

The Viking Terran model for 3D printing is an active assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 148 hours in total.

For you to receive the cleanest 3D printing result possible, minimize the amount of filament needed for generated support, and make use of the active elements designed by Gambody Engineers, the hybrid was divided into convenient assembly parts.

All assembly parts in the FFF/FDM 1.0 version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model’s file you will also receive “Assembly Manual” for FFF/FDM 1.0, DLP/SLA Active 1.0 and DLP/SLA Static 1.0 versions in PDF and video formats. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and “Assembly Manual” before getting down to the Viking StarCraft 3D printing model.

The model is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from the height of the Viking. The 3D printing model’s chosen scales are 1:32 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:64 for the DLP/SLA version.
