ABOUT THIS 3D MODEL
The characters of WoW impress with their special powers and bright appearances: you may protect the weak as a holy paladin, lead your tribe as an adaptable shaman, command chaotic energies as a powerful demon hunter, or heal and shield allies as a devoted priest, among others. In the World of Warcraft, Xal'atath Blade of the Black Empire is an iconic artifact weapon with a sentient entity bound in it used by shadow priests who later freed herself moving into the body of an elf named Inanis.
The fantasy game character of Xal'atath inspired our contributing 3D artist to create a model for 3D printing that stands out for its professional design: the facial features of the villain are masterfully sculpted and transmit the evil personality of the creature. The costume of the character combines numerous textures and shapes with every accessory carefully developed the way Xal'atath looks mysteriously and majestically. The Spheres of Insanity is a highlight of this 3D printing design which will catch the attention of every game fan. Hurry to print an ancient artifact that will enrich your collection of printables!
ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING
Xal'atath for 3D printing is a static assembly model and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took the Gambody team 64 hours in total. The 3D print's anatomy, proportions, and flow of the cloth were thoroughly reviewed during the moderation process for the malevolent being to be depicted harmoniously in the intended pose.
The cutting of the 3D printing design was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the Eco version. In order to conceal the places where the assembly parts of the 3D printable model are connected, Xal'atath 3D model was divided into convenient assembly parts.
All assembly parts in the 1.0 FFF/FDM version are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out in order to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won't face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate. When downloading any model's file you will also receive "Assembly Manual" for 1.0 FFF/FDM and 1.0 DLP/SLA versions in PDF format. We highly recommend that you get acquainted with the “Assembly Video” and "Assembly Manual" before getting down to Xal'atath.
The design is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.
The scale of the 3D print model was calculated from the height of the creature. The 3D printer design’s chosen scales are 1:8 for the FFF/FDM version and 1:16 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.
